Siskiyou Community Health Center has a full-time opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist in Grants Pass, Oregon. This position serves as a key HR/Payroll team member to help management and employees with HR-related subjects. This person will work directly with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) on projects, audits, compliance, employee assistance, HRIS, data analysis, document management, and other routine HR duties.

Duties:

  • Assist the CHRO, HR/Payroll team, and various members of management in recruiting efforts, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Assist with year-end processing and annual reporting.
  • Manage data analysis and present to the CHRO and Leadership team.
  • Evaluate, create, and help manage HR trainings with a focus on in-house training and development. Note, training would be in conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Manage student clinical rotations from an onboarding and off-boarding standpoint, and assist the Compliance Team.
  • A key resource in answering employee and management questions, as well as, any of their HR needs.
  • Manage and continually audit job descriptions.
  • Be a resource and able to fill in various roles and/or duties for the HR/Payroll team.
  • Update, audit, and maintain our HRIS and Payroll system, Paycom.
  • Manage and assist in daily HR duties.
  • Review daily and respond to the HR email inbox, as well as, interoffice mail.
  • Work with other departments in areas that require HR compliance and/or needs.
  • Be a key person in our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion plan.
  • Be a key person in our TLC Committee/employee engagement activities and events.
  • Assist the CHRO in our employee retention plan and other strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a backup for the Payroll Specialist in regard to benefits administration.
  • Act as a backup for the Human Resources Specialist in leave of absence management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible human resource experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in reviewing and analyzing data and information.
  • Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and off-boarding.
  • Experience performing and assisting in audits.
  • Experience in leave of absence management.
  • Experience administering benefits.
  • Experience creating HR documentation.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience delivering training to management and employees.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to evaluate and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and effectively prioritize multiple meetings, deadlines, and commitments.
  • Travel to various locations as needed.
