Siskiyou Community Health Center has a full time opportunity for a qualified Medical Clinic Front Office Lead at our Grants Pass Clinic.

This position will assist the Clinic Manager by supporting the effective delivery of patient care and service in the front-office clinic operations. The Medical Clinic Front Office Lead acts as a point of contact for the medical front office team, facilitating communications between clinical and non-clinical staff. They assist the Medical Clinic Manager with assigned projects, tasks, and overall department efficiency while providing guidance to front-office staff and serving as an exemplary role model for professionalism, compassion, respect, and customer service.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Minimum two years’ work experience in a medical or clinical setting
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited body
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Valid Oregon Driver License without restrictions, comprehensive automobile insurance, and a safe driving record
  • Exemplary leadership, community relations, and customer service skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a caring, approachable patient environment while seamlessly facilitating an efficient and productive check-in/check-out process
  • Evaluate situations or issues presented with the ability to understand and prioritize while assisting with resolution using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Lead by example and provide guidance to the medical front office assistants as needed
  • Maintain an efficient flow of scheduling and patient appointments for the medical providers in EPM (Electronic Practice Management)
  • Assist Clinic Manager with managing staff schedules and workflows to ensure medical clinic staff coverage
  • Provide staffing coverage as needed; may require travel to other sites
  • Provide prior authorizations and referrals for patients as requested from the
    Medical Provider
  • Verify insurance billing information, third-party payer coverage, etc.
  • Processing and monitoring of sliding scale applications
  • Prepare daily deposits of monetary collections as needed
  • Process charge entry, unbilled and work log reports along with assisting in daily batch error resolutions, as required
  • Participation in Siskiyou Community Health Center’s Uniform Data System measures, meaningful use metrics, quality initiatives, and other data collection
  • Manage and facilitate the ordering of supplies and inventory management
  • Initiate requests and follow up on the maintenance of equipment and
    facilities as requested

Working Conditions:

This position works in a busy environment with a lot of interruptions, multiple demands and people interactions. Some travel is required.
