Make a Meaningful Impact
At Siskiyou Community Health Center, we believe healthcare is about more than treating patients—it is about caring for our community and supporting the people who make that care possible. We are looking for a Sterile Technician who takes pride in doing essential, behind-the-scenes work that keeps our patients safe and our teams running smoothly.
If you are detail-oriented, reliable, and want to be part of a mission-driven organization, you will fit right in.
Why This Role Matters
Every instrument you sterilize, every process you follow, directly protects patients and providers. Your work is critical to infection prevention and high-quality care—making you an essential part of the healthcare team.
What You’ll Do
- Decontaminate, disinfect, and sterilize dental and medical instruments following strict safety protocols
- Prepare and package instruments for sterilization
- Operate sterilization equipment and monitor quality through testing procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
- Stock and organize supplies to keep workflows efficient
- Support a clean, safe clinical environment in line with OSHA, CDC, and SCHC standards
- Collaborate with dental and medical teams to ensure instruments are ready when needed
What we are looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Experience in sterilization is a plus—but we’re happy to train the right person
Work That Fits Your Life
We know you have a life outside of work—and we respect that.
- Predictable, clinic-based schedule
- Supportive team environment that values collaboration over burnout
- Opportunities to grow your skills and expand your role
- A workplace culture centered on respect, inclusion, and community impact
What to Expect Physically
This active role requires the ability to maintain a standing or seated position comfortably. You will need to be able to lift up to 20+ lbs., and work with specialized equipment in a clinical setting.
