Siskiyou Community Health Center is thrilled to announce the appointment of Eric Van Houten as their new Chief Executive Officer. Eric brings over two decades of healthcare administration experience in Oregon. He will commence his service with Siskiyou on June 2, 2025.
In his new role, Eric will lead Siskiyou Community Health Center’s mission to provide high-quality, comprehensive care to every member of our community—regardless of their ability to pay. With his strong professional background and education, Eric is well-equipped to advance Siskiyou’s commitment to serving our communities. His leadership will support the continued growth of our medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and ancillary services, while maintaining a strong focus on integrated care, affordability, accessibility, and improving the overall health of our community.
“We are exceedingly pleased to welcome Eric Van Houten as our new CEO,” said Brad Lamont, Chair of Siskiyou Community Health Center’s Board of Directors. “After our nationwide search and carefully sifting through over 100 qualified candidates, we found a proven leader capable of inspiring our team as we intend to expand our services to over half the residents in Josephine County. Eric brings a unique style of ‘service leadership’ and partnership building with intentional communication. He is exceptionally compatible with our mission, vision, and values of providing professional quality care to our community, with integrity and compassion. We are confident Eric will guide Siskiyou with insight, prudence, and wisdom.”
Eric joins Siskiyou Community Health Center from Cascade Health, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, Cascade Health achieved significant milestones, including being named one of the 100 Best Nonprofits to Work for in Oregon for the tenth year and earning a place in the organization’s Hall of Fame. Under Eric’s leadership, Cascade Health saw a 110% increase in revenue and a 45% growth in staff.
