Virtual Visit FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

OVERVIEW OF SERVICES

A virtual visit is a safe, convenient way to connect with a Siskiyou Community Health Center provider using your mobile device or computer.

Yes. We will have virtual visits with patients of all ages.

Our providers can call in medication to your pharmacy in accordance with state laws and when medically necessary. We cannot refill controlled medications (narcotic pain medications, benzodiazepines, etc.) during a walk-in clinic visit. Please contact your primary care provider for these refills.

Virtual visits are available Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm and Saturday from 9:00am – 12:30pm.

COST, BILLING & INSURANCE

The cost varies based on the level of service provided, the same as an in-office visit. Patient responsibility, or your out-of-pocket cost, for a virtual visit is based on your specific insurance coverage and plan.  Please contact your insurance carrier before your visit for details about your coverage, including copays.  We accept most insurances.

Be sure to add your insurance information, including a copy of your insurance card, during registration to ensure proper billing.

If you need financial assistance, please contact our office at (541) 472-4777 to learn how you can apply for our Sliding Discount Program.  This application will need to be completed before your visit.

Yes.  If you are an established patient, and you have already qualified for our Sliding Discount Program, the visit will be discounted the same as an office visit.  If you are a new patient, or do not have an active slide application, you may complete an application on our website. All documentation must be received and eligibility determined before the appointment in order for the discount to apply.

You will have the opportunity to make your copayment during registration for your virtual visit. Any unpaid balance due will be billed to you.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

You will need a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with a webcam, microphone and access to the internet. You will need to use Chrome, Safari or Firefox as your browser.
