DENTAL PREVENTION
Did you know? Tooth decay is one of the most common chronic childhood conditions—but it’s completely preventable! At Siskiyou Community Health Center, we’re all about keeping little smiles healthy and bright!
In the 2024-25 school year, we conducted:
• 538 fluoride varnishes
• 894 sealants placed (per tooth)
• 295 children received at least one sealant
• 413 uses of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) (per tooth)
• 158 children who received SDF
• 646 children referred for early care with at least one cavity
EARLY CHILDHOOD SUPPORT
For the past 30 years, Siskiyou Community Health Center has helped parents keep their babies and toddlers healthy and safe. Babies don’t come with instructions. That’s why we’re here with helpful information and support to help parents be the best they can be.
In 2025, we saw 187 families, including 91 new families:
• 2,232 home visits
• 199 different children attended playgroups
• Christmas presents for 93 Josephine County families
• New book for every child at each visit from Siskiyou staff
• Increased emergency baby supplies (diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, etc.) by 25%
