What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you will help ensure smooth clinic flow and high-quality patient care by:

  • Preparing patients for examinations (vitals, interviews, EHR updates)
  • Administering vaccines and other injections per protocol
  • Assisting providers during exams and procedures
  • Pre-planning charts and reviewing health maintenance needs
  • Preparing rooms, maintaining supplies, and ensuring readiness
  • Coordinating labs, refills, and follow-up communications
  • Providing patient education and preventive health materials
  • Supporting clinical operations and maintaining equipment

You may support specialty areas such as endocrinology, behavioral health, or school-based health, and occasionally assist at other clinic locations to ensure continuity of care.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an MA training program or 2+ years of MA experience preferred
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
  • Comfort with electronic health records and computer systems
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to working with diverse populations with empathy and respect

This is a 100% office-based role involving:

  • Clinical procedures and lab equipment use
  • Standard physical mobility within the clinic
  • Exposure to blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease (PPE and safety protocols in place)
