Every referral you process helps a patient move forward in their care journey. You’ll be the bridge between providers, patients, and insurance systems, removing obstacles so patients can focus on their health rather than paperwork.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and process patient referrals accurately and efficiently
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure services are fully covered
- Communicate clearly with patients and provider offices to resolve questions
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Deliver thoughtful, respectful service to patients and colleagues
- Protect patient privacy by following Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant experience (healthcare setting preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication and a patient-first mindset
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
- Knowledge of Medicare and Oregon Health Plan (OHP) is helpful
