What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll help ensure the financial health of the organization while supporting patients with empathy and professionalism:
- Manage and monitor patient account balances and follow established collection procedures
- Post payments and review insurance claims for accuracy and completeness
- Investigate and resolve billing issues, denials, and patient concerns
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies to answer questions and provide guidance
- Set up and maintain payment plans that align with patient needs
- Prepare accounts for collection agencies and coordinate as needed
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), identify issues, and resubmit claims to maximize reimbursement
- Maintain accurate records and uphold strict confidentiality standards
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of related experience (medical/dental billing or A/R preferred)
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Knowledge of billing processes, medical terminology, and insurance practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse populations
- Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities
