POSITION SUMMARY:   The Facilities Coordinator performs duties necessary to ensure proper functioning of clinic facilities and equipment, as directed by the Facilities Manager. Performs routine maintenance, as well as emergency repairs at all Siskiyou Community Health Center (SCHC) sites, and will be required to travel between sites as needed.  The Facilities Coordinator may be required to work outside of normally scheduled work hours and must be available on an on-call basis to address issues that would disrupt normal clinic operations. The Facilities Coordinator must pass a background check to perform duties at all locations, including School Based Health Centers.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform general maintenance of all Clinic facilities, to include replacement of lights, filters, parking lot maintenance, and landscape maintenance. Perform general carpentry skills, painting and drywall repair. Repair of plumbing, lighting fixtures and landscape irrigation.
  • Setup, take-down, and storage of items for company events.
  • Maintains restrooms during business hours as needed.
  • Perform general upkeep and rotation of company storage facilities.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Manager for on-site work required outside of Facilities Coordinator’s normal responsibilities.
  • Able to work outdoors as needed in varying weather conditions.
  • Assist in parking lot and building safety and preparations during adverse weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 1 year experience working in a maintenance support role. Experience in a construction trade may also be considered.
  3. Proof of current unrestricted Oregon Driver’s License, comprehensive automobile insurance and a safe driving record.
  4. Possess a vehicle capable of moving items between sites in all types of weather.
  5. Must reside no further than a forty minute drive from both the Hawthorne Avenue and Redwood Highway locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, carrying, sitting, climbing ladders, and driving an automobile. Vision and hearing corrected to within normal range. Physical mobility within all locations. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS:

  • Exposure to infectious diseases and airborne pathogens.  Possible exposure to paint, solvents, cleaners and pesticides.

  • 60% office-based 40% off-site/outside

  • Computer, printer, calculator, copier, multi-line phone system, private automobile, and cellular phone. Tools used for minor building repairs and maintenance (e.g., power tools, and hand tools). Landscaping tools( e.g., mowers, weed trimmers and pruners)
