Wage: $23.75/hr.+ DOE
POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Support Specialist provides Help Desk support for all users’ workstations, laptops, and productivity devices on the local area network. This position performs a wide variety of software installation, configuration, end-user support, and training tasks to ensure end-user workstations and network performance meet company and user requirements. The IT Support Specialist troubleshoots computer problems, determines the source, and advises on appropriate action. The role also includes project-based work as assigned and requires flexibility to work after-hours when necessary. This position will be in Cave Junction three days a week, and Grants Pass two days.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides help desk support for all users’ workstations, laptops, and productivity devices.
- Installs, configures, and maintains software and hardware for end users.
- Delivers end-user training and support to ensure efficient system use.
- Troubleshoots computer problems, identifies root causes, and recommends corrective actions.
- Completes IT project-based assignments as required.
- Documents technical issues and resolutions, and updates the ticketing system.
- Escalates complex issues, as appropriate, to higher-level IT staff.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Minimum three (3) years of proven IT experience in a busy environment.
- Minimum one (1) year of Help Desk experience preferred.
- Previous experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/Electronic Health Record (HER) system preferred.
- Proof of current unrestricted driver’s license, comprehensive automobile insurance and a safe driving record.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network concepts.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide customer-focused technical support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

- Physical mobility within clinics and offices.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS:
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases and airborne pathogens.
- Contact with patients and occasional rude and/or angry encounters.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position is 90% office-based and 10% off-site.
- Some travel required.
