Make a Difference Behind the Scenes—Where Access to Care Begins

Position: Medical Records Specialist

At the heart of great healthcare is connection—and that’s where you come in. As a Medical Records Specialist, you play a vital role in helping patients access the care they need, without unnecessary delays or confusion. Your work ensures that every record is more than paperwork; it’s a pathway to better health.

If you’re organized, compassionate, and want a role where your impact is felt every day (without sacrificing your personal life), we’d love to meet you.

Why This Role Matters

Every record you touch helps a patient move forward—toward answers, treatment, and peace of mind. You’ll be the bridge between providers, patients, and specialty services, making healthcare smoother, faster, and more human.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and process patient records requests accurately and on time
  • Communicate clearly with patients and provider offices to resolve questions
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate charts within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Deliver respectful, responsive service to every patient and colleague
  • Protect patient privacy by following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with EHR preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • A customer-first mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Oregon Health Plan (OHP) is helpful but not required

Work-Life Balance You Can Count On

  • Predictable, primarily daytime office schedule
  • Limited evening/weekend work
  • 100% office-based role—no travel required
  • A supportive team environment where people respect your time

What It’s Like to Work Here

You’ll join a mission-driven team that believes healthcare should be accessible, compassionate, and efficient. We support one another, communicate openly, and recognize that behind every task is a person who needs care.

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of required immunizations
  • Background check and drug screening

If you’re looking for a role where your attention to detail directly improves patient access—and where your work stays at work so you can enjoy life outside of it, this may be the place for you.
