What You’ll Do
You’ll take ownership of full-cycle payroll and be the go-to expert for payroll systems and processes:
- Process accurate, compliant payroll (regular and off-cycle) from start to finish
- Maintain payroll records, deductions, taxes, and garnishments with precision
- Review and audit payroll data, resolving discrepancies proactively
- Serve as the internal expert on Paycom, optimizing workflows and system performance
- Partner with HR and Finance on reporting, audits, and process improvements
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll to the general ledger
- Manage payroll tax filings, funding, and year-end processes (W-2s, 1095s)
- Oversee employee expense reimbursements with accuracy and care
- Support employees with payroll questions—professionally and confidentially
What You Bring
- Proven experience processing full-cycle payroll with a high degree of accuracy, 2+ years preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, and compliance
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws
- Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and problem-solving skills
- A service-oriented mindset—you care about getting it right for people
Bonus Points
- Experience in healthcare or a regulated environment
- Expertise with Paycom (especially configuration and reporting)
- Experience with audits, grants, or complex payroll structures
