Prior Authorization Specialist
Siskiyou Community Health Center (SCHC) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will help ensure patients receive timely access to medications and services by accurately and carefully managing prior authorizations, medication refills, and imaging referrals.

What You’ll Do
- Manage all medication prior authorizations using CoverMyMeds.com
- Communicate with providers regarding authorization requests and required documentation
- Track and update providers on authorization statuses
- Monitor and complete imaging referrals and prior authorizations
- Process medication refill requests in accordance with SCHC protocols
- Accurately document all activities in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Strong computer and internet proficiency
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on deadlines
Requirements
- Proof of current immunizations meeting clinic standards
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
Work Environment
- 100% office-based position
- Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, phone system, copier, etc.)
- Minimal exposure to infectious diseases
